Privacy Policy

Overview

PostAgentAshbyAsh ("the app", "we", "us") is a Meta Platform application that helps you compose, schedule, and publish posts to Facebook Pages and Instagram business accounts you manage, and review engagement metrics for those posts. This policy explains what data we receive through Meta's APIs, why we receive it, and the choices you have.

By connecting a Facebook or Instagram account to PostAgentAshbyAsh, you agree to the practices described here and to Meta's Platform Terms and Data Policy.

Data we receive from Meta

When you authorize PostAgentAshbyAsh, we receive only the data tied to the permissions you grant:

Account identity: your Facebook User ID and the IDs of the Pages and Instagram business accounts you choose to connect.
Page and profile details: Page name, Instagram username, and profile picture for the accounts you manage.
Content you create: the text, images, and video you compose or schedule through the app, plus the time and target account for each post.
Engagement metrics: aggregate counts such as reach, impressions, likes, comments, and shares for posts published through the app, returned by the Facebook Pages and Instagram Graph APIs.
Access tokens: short- and long-lived access tokens issued by Meta so the app can publish and read metrics on your behalf.

How we use that data

To publish posts to the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts you have connected.
To schedule posts at the times you choose and to reschedule them when you request it.
To display engagement metrics for the posts you published through the app.
To keep your connected accounts authenticated and to refresh tokens when they expire.
To provide support and to diagnose errors that occur while publishing on your behalf.

What we do not collect

We do not read your private messages on Facebook, Messenger, or Instagram Direct.
We do not post to your personal Facebook profile or personal Instagram account.
We do not track your activity outside of PostAgentAshbyAsh or place advertising trackers on other websites.
We do not sell, rent, or license your data to third parties.

Data storage and retention

Drafts, scheduled posts, and engagement metrics are stored on secured servers operated by our hosting providers. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. In transit, all data is sent over HTTPS/TLS.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. When you disconnect an account, we delete the associated access tokens and stop fetching new data within 24 hours. Drafts and historical metrics for that account are deleted within 30 days of disconnection, unless you request sooner.

We do not share your content or metrics with third parties except:

with Meta, as necessary to publish posts and retrieve metrics through its APIs;
with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, file storage) that process data on our behalf under written agreements;
when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PostAgentAshbyAsh, its users, or others.

Your rights and choices

Disconnect: you can disconnect any Page or Instagram account at any time from the app's settings. We will stop accessing that account and delete its tokens.
Revoke on Meta: you can review and remove PostAgentAshbyAsh's access at facebook.com/settings → Business integrations or in the Instagram app under Settings → Security → Apps and Websites.
Request deletion: email ashvinikumarjangid@gmail.com to request export or deletion of your data.
Withdraw consent: disconnecting an account withdraws consent for that account's data processing.

Children's privacy

PostAgentAshbyAsh is not directed at anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country to use Meta's platforms). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has connected an account, contact us and we will remove the data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email if we have your address on file.
